Two beautiful examples of the California state flower glow golden with the morning sunlight. Offset by the deep green of spring grasses, this highlights the translucent nature and defines the sharp edge of their shapely four petals.

Shot from afar with a long lens and a large aperture, this limits the focus to the edges of the petals, and turns the out of focus poppies behind in to abstract renditions of flower shapes.

The California Poppy can cultivate almost entirely independently, however the California Poppy can also exist gregariously in open environments such as the Antelope Valley California Poppy State Natural Preserve, they are pervasive in open areas most of the year.
