Sunflower Summer
Dampierre Sur Salon, France
Enjoying Paris and the many sights like Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower is a must do. However, a day south found many farms and fields in the French countryside, passing through quaint agricultural villages and crossing streams over small bridges, driving the fantastic country roads.
Long after the fog had burned off, I found this large patch of eastward facing sunflowers soaking up the summer morning sun. They will follow it until sunset, only to point east again.
With a pattern of interconnecting spirals with the number of left spirals and the number of right spirals being successive Fibonacci numbers they are pleasing to look at.
