Lion Grass
Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Famous for the million animal wildebeest migration the Masai Mara is also well known for its lions.
Bordering Serengeti National Park, one may observe many large, grassy plains. On this afternoon, obscured by the tall, amber colored grass and the warm winds rustling it, the lioness stalked prey masked by the sound.
In addition to its lions, this south-western Kenyan nature reserve is wholly contained in the Great Rift Valley.
It is home to the Maasi people and many more animals, including the famous big five of Africa and the wonderful cheetah, the fastest land animal in the world.
